Directions for Use: Add water to the base cup to a level that will cover the top portion once it is added back on but without overflowing, usually about one third of the way. Pack butter into the cup portion of the top part and place back into the cup. The water will cover the opening of the top and seal it from the air to keep your butter longer. Tips I've heard from customers are to add a little salt to the water and to use salted butter.
